Commissioner's Guide

Terms of Service

Before requesting a commission, please take a moment to read through the terms of service to better understand the nature of how I work and to avoid any unnecessary issues that may arise in the process.

-Commissions are accepted at the discretion of the artist.
For whatever reason I decide to decline a commission, I humbly ask that you respect my decision. While I am willing to work with most subjects, know that there are certain areas where I feel my skill may be lacking, and may be declined as a result. As a rule of thumb, any requests for content that cannot be publicly showcased (i.e. is marked for mature audiences) tend to be priced higher for the client’s exclusive use of the image.

-Communication is highly encouraged.
I do my best work with a client that is cooperative and specific with their request. This also means being courteous and allowing me the space and time to finish.

-A request will always be discussed in detail before any transaction is made.
Please do not send payments before a request has been finalized.

-Payment is to be settled before a commission is started.
For works priced above $20.00 USD, an installment method may be implemented where half the price can be paid initially and the rest at a later time, though must be settled before the work is completed. Clients will be informed at what stage of progress the commission will be held until full payment has been made.

-Monetary transactions are made primarily through PayPal
Other payment methods (i.e: offering a product/service of similar value, etc.) may be discussed if PayPal payments are not optional. Note that in these alternative transactions, the value of the offer in return for service is at the full discretion of the artist.

-Revisions in works should be done at the earliest possible convenience.
The further along a commission’s progress is, the more difficult it is to edit the work, which may incur additional charges as a result. This, however, does not result if the edit is at the decision of the artist.

-Completed commissions will be delivered via e-mail.
Works are saved in JPG or PNG format at 300 DPI resolution for possible printing. They are delivered attached to e-mails that act as official receipts, giving a quick rundown of the details of completion for archiving purposes. The sender will always be from Tigerbeacon@hotmail.com unless stated otherwise.

-Commissioned works are for the exclusive use of the client and for NON-COMMERCIAL PURPOSES ONLY.
Intents to use artworks for profit-related purposes (i.e: converting prints to sell, commercial illustrations, adoptables, etc) must be discussed beforehand, as current prices are set for works made for PERSONAL USE and proper pricing must be included to purchase the legal rights to distribute the image.

-The artist retains legal rights to the image
The artist reserves the right to use commissioned works for showcasing or commercial purposes, and will properly credit all intellectual property to respective owners. Likewise, clients are requested to properly credit the artist for works featured in their own galleries.

-Regarding refunds:
In the event that payment has already been received, refunds may be issued ONLY under the following conditions:
  • If the artist is unable to complete the commission within two (2) months of payment
  • If the client decides to cancel the request before being presented with the commission drafts
  • Refunds will be considered on a case by case basis for any other unforeseen circumstances which may arise.
  • Note that PayPal transactions are charged with a service fee, so refunds may be a few cents less.

This serves as an agreement between the client and the artist, held from the moment an order is accepted until its completion/termination.

Prices Guide

A general rundown of the type of works offered. Note that prices are subject to change without notice depending on demand and workload. Special commissions may be offered from time to time that are usually less expensive than regular commissions, so it helps to take advantage of them when they are open.

Prices are listed in US Dollars (USD). Please note that these prices are estimates, based on the average time and effort required to complete and may be adjusted according to simplicity/complexity of request. The final prices of commissions will be quoted by the artist and will not always necessarily reflect those listed here.
